Who we are
This website is operated by Lanternfield Media Ltd, London, United Kingdom ("we", "us"). We are the data controller for personal data collected through pressstartparent.com. Contact: [email protected].
What we collect and why
- Messages you send us (name, email, message) by email. We use them to reply to you. Lawful basis: legitimate interests.
- Technical data such as IP address and browser type, which our hosting provider records in server logs to keep the site secure and working. Lawful basis: legitimate interests.
- Optional analytics, only if you click "Accept" in the cookie banner. These would measure how pages are used in aggregate. Lawful basis: consent, which you can withdraw at any time.
Progress saved on your device
The parent level, quest checklists and cookie choice are stored in your own browser's local storage. They never leave your device, and we cannot see them. You can clear them at any time by clearing your browser's site data.
Children
This site is written for parents and carers. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children, and our contact page asks children to have an adult get in touch instead.
How long we keep data
Contact messages: up to 12 months, then deleted. Server logs: up to 30 days. Analytics (if consented): up to 14 months, in aggregated form.
Who we share it with
Only with service providers that run the site for us, such as our web host and email provider, under contracts that protect your data. We do not sell or rent personal data, and we do not use it for advertising profiles.
Your rights
Under UK GDPR you can ask to access, correct or delete your data, object to or restrict how we use it, and withdraw consent. Email [email protected]. If you're unhappy with our response, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk).
